Saloma Bridge

On February 5, 2020, the elegant Saloma Bridge, sprawling across the Klang River, was made accessible to all. This beautiful bridge is a heartfelt tribute to Saloma, a famous Malaysian singer, and actress known as the "Queen of Malay Cinema" in the late 1950s, as a living memorial to her.

As the day turns into night, the Saloma Bridge transforms into a stunning display of colours, lighting up the Klang River with its magical glow, making it a must-see sight that visitors will never forget.

Petronas Twin Towers and the Saloma Bridge are within walking distance from each other at just one kilometre apart, or a comfortable 15-minute walk. This 69 metre long bridge is decked out in lights and comes alive during the night. Sporting the national colours of Malaysia, red, yellow and blue, Saloma Bridge is one you don’t want to miss out on. Stop along your walk on the bridge to snap a few pictures of yourself as this is one of the most instagrammable spots in Kuala Lumpur.

How to Get to the Saloma Bridge

Getting to the Saloma Bridge is easy due to Kuala Lumpur's public transportation system. Visitors can take the LRT Kelana Jaya line to Masjid Jamek station or the Monorail to Maharajalela station, which is closest to the Saloma Bridge.

• A single trip on the LRT or MRT costs approximately RM5. 
• For RM5 also, tourists can ride the Monorail, LRT, and MRT as many times as throughout the day. Tourists may also want to consider purchasing the KL Travel Pass, which costs between RM75 and RM120 for two days of unrestricted Monorail, LRT, and MRT travel.
