Experience the beauty of a multi-racial community and see places of interest and the essential part of Kuching which will take you from the era of the White Rajahs to the present day. Gawai is the dayaks celebration for the end of harvesting season. Gawai Festival amazingly preserves the rich heritage of diversity as it is celebrated by multi-racial ethnics in Sarawak.

Day 1 - Kuching / Delok Batang Ai / Gawai Eve
Pick up from your hotel. Drive 275 km to Batang Ai. Few stops will be made along the journey. First stop will be at Serian town. Serian town’s highlight is the native market. Explore the market to identify some jungle products such as local vegetables and fruits. You may help your guide to purchase some of the items for your supply during the trip. Next stop will be Lachau, a little town for lunch. After lunch, continue the drive to Batang Ai jetty. Upon arrival, proceed by the longboat for 1 hour across Batang Ai Reservoir to Delok Longhouse. Meet the longhouse chief and check in at host family room. Dinner will be at the host family room/chief. Enjoy the evening and relax at Ruai (communal veranda). Listen to stories of the Ibans, learn about their cultures and with them for preparation while waiting for Gawai Eve. Overnight

Day 2 - Gawai Celebration - Delok Longhouse
Full day Gawai celebration with the community. Enjoy their culture.

Day 3 - Jungle Trekking / Picnic Lunch / Delok Longhouse
Breakfast. Destination of the day is Jelia River which takes 10 to 20 minutes boat ride from the longhouse. The highlight activity is to trek to one of the trails. Jelia is very well known by a local as a home of the Orang Utan. Nests sometimes can be spotted. Walk in one of the oldest forests in Sarawak is an amazing experience for life. Learn about plants that are used by local for (handicraft, food, medicine). Swimming is available in the river / small waterfall after the trek. You may participate in preparing local BBQ lunch at the riverbank. Proceed back to the longhouse. Free at leisure in the evening/ chat with local.

Day 4 - Delok Longhouse / Semenggoh / Kuching
After breakfast, proceed downriver with the longboat for return to Kuching. Lunch en-route. Stop at Semenggoh Wildlife Centre. Continue back to hotel in town.

Day 5 - Kuching City Tour / Borneo Culture Museum / Sarawak River Cruise - Walking Tour
Walking tour start with visit the new and 3rd largest museum in South of Asia, Borneo Culture Museum the highlight of the tour and is acknowledged as one of the finest Museum in Malaysia. After lunch, proceed with Kuching City Tour to see most of the places attraction around this historical city. Stop at the Tua Pek Kong Temple, one of the oldest temples in Sarawak. From the temple, you can get a food view of the imposing Fort Margherita. Pass by the traditional Malay house build on stilts. Winding through the heart of the city, look out for a majestic looking Astana, the Colonial Law Court House. Then, pass through Clock Tower and a granite obelisk build in memory of Rajah Charles Brooke. Late afternoon, proceed for Sarawak River Cruise and back to your hotel or you may proceed with dinner on your own.
